Early on I was also chastised by the Chief Editor of Doves and Serpents for assuming that it was run by the OW movement. After my apology to the editor for that assumption she clearly stated that she actually did support the OW movement. Letter , in a hypocritical twist common seen among dogmatists she stated;
"FWJ, please differentiate between a blog post (here or elsewhere) and Ordain Women. It’s unreasonable and inaccurate for you to conflate the two."
To which I replied: (After looking up the word "conflate")
"I find it hard to believe that one who already admitted on this Blog, that she supports OW, actually believes that she, other blogers, posters and the whole “Equality is not a Feeling” series, is not a reflection of the OW perspective. Perhaps Amy, another ardent OW supporter and frequent poster on this site will join you in the disclaimer."
Sine I have been censored from her cite, but not before I was again accused of illegal conflating, I will point out the hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty of her claim.
While it is true that Doves and Serpents is not technically the Ordain Women Movement, its clear nepotism, and fellow cheerleading of the movements and its supporters removes any need for making a distinction.
Just as in Christ's day, where it truly was the case that the Sadducees and the Pharisees were not the same group, and would have found it distasteful to be "conflated" with one another, the fact of the matter was that they were;...... inspired by the same source, used the same techniques, relied on the same flawed methodologies, and sought the same goal, (the silencing of Jesus Christ by death) thus conflating them was actually reasonable. So too with Doves and Serpents. Since they are inspired by the same source, use the same techniques, rely upon the same flawed methodologies, and seek the same goals as Ordain Women, they may be legitimately conflated.
