"I have been to the mountain top, I have beheld the celestial city, I have seen the coming day when Jesus will reign on earth among men. I have witnessed the millennial era, when all God's children live as brothers and sisters, and everyone will be color blind. Yes I have seen that coming day, but as a nation we still have far to go.
YET....In spite of the false prophets of race, I still have a dream of an America where:
--Politicians become statesmen, who the voters support NOT for the color of their skin, but for the policies they support, their personal integrity and their deeply held morality.
--The rule of law still lives and justice remains blind to race, and so Juries will convict or acquit defendants not based on their race, or the race of their victim, but solely on the facts of the case.
--Race focused, race centric, and racism dependent, organizations stop fomenting racial disputes and crying racism at every turn for the sole purpose of keeping their power, prestige and financial support, but rather truly work earnestly and selfllessly for the day when they will no longer be in business, becasue they are no longer needed.
--God's children of all races no longer use the scapegoat of race, as the reason for their successes or failures.
--Politicians STOP mimicking the plantation owners of old, by keeping minorities in bondage to the government and using the dole and its attendant dependency as the economic shackles that they truly are, and START to work to free all peoples from the modern slavery of dependency on government .
Sadly, it seems that such a beautiful dream will remain unfulfilled, as too many who see racism in others, do so based on their own hyper sensitivity to race, and their own bigoted stereo types which allow them to label those they disagree with as racist.
