euphemism for spiritual incorrectness) surrounding the self serving revelations about pending disciplinary councils for Kate Kelly and others, it is now a good time to return to doctrine, true doctrine.
1. Disciplinary Councils are councils of love: They are not directed by public opinion, but rather, like the church itself, they are directed by revelation from God. (a point the OW supporters still don't get). Though the "purge" claimants would like to deceive the world into thinking that excommunication is a foregone conclusion, that is only because it suits their bias. However, that claim is simply not the truth. The results of disciplinary councils are determined by God, through revelation, and often contradict any preconceived notions members of the councils have carried in with them. Additionally disciplinary councils are love centered and focused on the eternal welfare of three groups. 1st, the individuals who are called before the council, which will attempt to reach their hearts, to determine if there is serious sin, and if so, if the sinner has a repentant and contrite heart, and can be saved. 2nd, the innocent victims of those who have committed serious transgressions . Interestingly the hue and cry from the sympathetic apostates is always centered on the person who is facing discipline, and never mentions, or even considers the precious and innocent souls being harmed by the sinner. 3rd, the church as a whole, whose mission and eternal purpose can be destroyed from the uncorrected, and unrepentant, actions of those who profess to belong to the organization, while actually working to destroy it. Disciplinary Councils are directed by God and he will determine the outcome. Those who oppose the use of councils, and who will no doubt challenge the outcomes, do so because as with the other aspects of their biased apostasy, they do not want to follow or submit to God, but rather they want to be God.
2. Purging: While the apostates and anti-Mormons love to throw around the word purge, (especially when united with the word "Mormon"), seeking for selfish purposes to invoke images of Stalinist Russia, Nazi Germany or the Spanish Inquisition, the truth is that purges are not always inspired by genocidal intent nor even hate. From the beginning purges have been used by loving leaders, to protect those they loved and to keep the innocent safe from the real genocidal haters. God purged the heavens of 1/3 of his children, who adopted selfishness and hate and who sought to destroy the innocent, by removing their agency. God had to cast them out, to protect others. It is not hard to imagine some misguided Ordain Women supporters, crying at the
brink of heaven, and pleading with Satan and his angels, to "please don't go" as if God and heaven needed their vile and corruptive influence to round out our pre-existent experience. Moses had
to purge the congregation of the sons and daughters of Belail, for the good and protection of those who truly loved and followed God. Alma, was praised and blessed by God for humbling submitting to God in determining what action to take with regard to those unrepentant, SINO's….(Saints In Name Only), as he was also directed that they should no longer be numbered among the church and should have their names blotted out. The scriptures are filled with examples of such love based and protective actions, which still constitute purges. Interestingly even life experience teaches us the value of the purge. Our bodies continue to live and thrive because they were designed with a system to purge out harmful elements classified as waste. Many cancer survivors who live and serve among us, do so because of a principle of the purge, as surgeons removed cancerous growths that attacked the body and threatened death, having determined that the only safe course is a radical "sectomy" of some type. The point is whether spiritually seen or temporally imposed, purging in each case cited above was done not with the intent to punish, but rather with the intent to save, to save the body, save the church, save the innocent. In all such cases, it cannot be denied, that purging came about as an act of love.
3. Apostasy is not the same thing a legitimate and honest questioning. There is now and always will be room in Christ's kingdom for sincere truth seekers, for those who have questions and who are open to having them answered by God, by Revelation, by study and prayer. There will never be
disciplinary Councils for those who truly want to know, and who are submissive to God and reliant upon him for the answers. No person will ever have a disciplinary council for merely questioning doctrines, or principles of the church. It is not a sin to question, nor to seek truth, as long as they are sincerely seeking. However, not all questioning is sincere. There are many who like the Pharisees, do not question because they want to find truth, but rather have established
themselves as truth, embraced some doctrine they will not give up, and who seek to force that truth upon others, using questioning as a technique to get their way. For example the Pharisee
really did not care whether or not it was lawful to give tribute to Caesar, they only asked the question to try and trip up Jesus, looking for a chance to condemn him. Similarly, the
Sadducees, did not really want an answer to their question about the woman with 7 husbands, but were trying to use their question to show how silly it was to believe in the doctrine of resurrection. When questions move from a sincere search for truth, into a deceptive tool used to prove as true a false doctrine, or to manipulate others to get one's way, then one can no longer honestly claim to be merely seeking truth. In fact such are trying to implement their own will
as truth, in opposition to what God has revealed. Such actions indicate apostasy. Apostasy is a cancer that kills the organization, the individual and many other innocent souls, and as such there is no room in the church for such. Apostates must be removed, for the good of God's children, all of them. There is no benefit, no intrinsic value to keeping apostates around. They add nothing to life, but like a black whole only suck in and destroy. Finally, if there is a chance to redeem the apostate it also comes in the separation process. Thomas Marsh is an excellent example.
Current apostates would do well to ponder on his remarks after his hard road finally lead him back, he delared;…“the Lord could get along very well without me and He has lost nothing by my falling out of the ranks; But O what have I lost?!"
From my view, Kate Kelly and many of her supporters, are not sincere questioners, but rather they are apostates with a corrupted and vile view of womanhood, the church and God, which they dogmatically adhere to, and try to force upon the body of the church, caring not who they hurt or destroy in their efforts. I for one, as a servant of God who loves, respects and trusts Him, who respects and honors true womanhood, and who values all of God's children, lovingly declare that…… for the good of the innocent and even the apostate themselves……. we have to find the wisdom in the paraphrased comment from Gary Bertier of Remember the Titans speaking of his bigoted and unchanging friend Ray; "Sometimes you just have to let a man go!"
