Almost from the beginning of time, sin and degradation
have plagued God's children based on envy, or the fallen humans' innate and narcissistic fear that they are somehow not getting all that they deserve. The false premise that underlies such God forbidden covetousness is that not having something which someone else has, somehow diminishes them, or makes them less than what they are entitled to be. The Holy Spirit will make clear to those who listen, that just such a culture lies at the heart of the "Ordain Women" movement. In fact it is the basic premise of their actions and claims, that their not being ordained as the men are, necessarily means that they cannot be equal.
The doctrinal truth is that such a difference really only means that they are not the same as men. Lack of sameness, does NOT, logically nor spiritually, equate to lack of equality. It is only envy that transforms what is a necessary God given tool for males to progress, into a state of being that envious women feel they must obtain in order to be equal. Given that eternally the roles of males and females have been and always will be different, while both remain heirs to all the Father has, it cannot honestly be deemed to be a form of inequality that God would provide a different tool necessary for one to achieve that end, but which was NOT necessary for the other to achieve that same end.
Women do not need to be ordained to be equally loved of God, nor to be equal heirs to exaltation, or equally empowered to serve, or equally able to receive revelation, etc. For the "Ordain Women" movement to elevate envy to the level of declaring they are somehow not whole without something they really do not need, is the culture of envy. What's more their declarations, no matter how sincere, still do not make it so. The perceived inequality in the minds of the movement's adherents, does not equate to actual inequality.
Those who know and understand the doctrines of the restored Gospel get it. They do not feel unequal, because they are in tune to the true doctrines and understand God's teachings with regard to their divine natures. It is only those who do not understand the doctrines, and who have elevated their own feeling and private human based interpretations to the level of revelation, that seek for more, yearn for that which they do not need, and feel lesser because they do not have it.
It is clear to sincere observers, who understand the true doctrines, that within the restored Gospel, of Jesus Christ, men and women remain different while simultaneously being equal in God's eyes and equally essential to his plan.
